Clean up Australia Day

“Ewwwwwww, it’s disgusting that there’s that much mess.”

“I promise that it’s not my rubbish, ‘cos I always use a in.”

“This is not good.”

Prep B were very unhappy with how much rubbish they found around their school. When we placed it on an outline of Australia, they became even more concerned about what this could mean. They all want to make more of an effort at picking up rubbish when they see it, as well as remembering to wash their hands afterwards.

Good job Prep B

Clean Up Australia Day

The Preps worked hard to do their bit to clean up Narre Warren North PS today. We discussed some of the effects rubbish has on our country and came up with ways that we could keep our local area clean. Some of us read ‘Are We There Yet’ to see some beautiful places around Australia. We then  decorated a map of Australia according to how we thought it should look without rubbish. Some children even got to play a game called ‘Clean Up The River’ where they picked up rubbish from the water to protect the fish.
