PMP

Prep A have been really enjoying the PMP sessions held each Wednesday at 10:00am. The students have been discussing each station and what they found difficult. We have talked about different muscles needed to complete each station. The students are becoming more aware of their bodies and how to use them effectively. Thank you to Romeo’s, Zephyr’s, Josiah’s and Emilija’s mum for helping with the sessions. They have been a real success because you are there to support and encourage the students each week. We all appreciate your assistance!

Games with our buddies

The preps enjoyed some game time with their buddies. The prep children played a variety of games while strengthening their relationship with their buddy. It was a nice time to relax and enjoy each other’s company while feeling good about beating the grade 6’s in many of the games!

Grandparents Day in Prep A!

The grandparents were enthusiastic to join their grandchildren at our school today. They reminisced and shared their memories of their own school experiences, with comments of “oh my how times have changed”. The students were excited to lead their own tour of the school, representing and having pride in our community. Each child had the opportunity to share their favourite place to play. They had the opportunity to create an everlasting memory in this space with their grandparents.

The students were very spoilt at the book fair creating an in depth opportunity to strengthen their love for literacy. After having fun at the book fair we ventured back to the classroom to bring out our inner Pablo Picasso. The students created self portraits of themselves and their grandparents using foam people and plastic plates (the materials Pablo Picasso never discovered!).

The morning came to an end where the students shared their grandparents favourite morning tea. We united as one prep family in the multi purpose room and the students proudly introduced their grandparents to each other. We would like to thank the grandparents for attending our special day, it’s moments like these the students will remember and we hope you will too.

Crime scene!

After a lovely play outside Ms V informs us that our room is unsafe! What? How can this be? We return to our class to see our room a big mess! Who could have done this?

TIME TO INVESTIGATE!

The students each wrote a report for the investigators stating what they saw and who they thought did this crime. I’m sorry Mr Wight but most of the students thought it was you! I think you may have some explaining to do.

Book characters in prep!

Books came alive in Prep A today when the class was filled with exciting characters, including a special guest ‘Cat in the Hat’ who replaced Miss Connell as the teacher. Laughter and enjoyment filled the classroom all day especially at our parade. Music filled the room and the characters came alive as they danced a rhombus around the students.

L is for lollipops!

Learning our letters is fun especially when we learn the letter L. Lots of laughter and pretend licking our fake lollipops was crazy fun. But who knew your prep A children could be transformed into a lollipop! Oh my! How will they get out? See the preps inside their lollipop below.

Pyjama Day for the letter P!

The letter P was a pretty perfect letter to perfect. Today we turned up to school in our pyjamas felling very relaxed. Then we enjoyed watching our popcorn pop into our bowls and ate lots and lots. More food was to present itself, we couldn’t believe it but some very colourful pasta appeared in our room! Well what could we do with this than make pretty pasta pictures. The prep students had lots of fun learning all about the letter P.

Kings and queens of spelling!

Today my preps showed me they were kings and queens of spelling! Without needing my help they successfully sounded out their word on their arm and found the right letters to spell their words! Well done preps I’m so proud of your spelling, it truly is awesome work.
