Today we were very fortunate to have the surprise visit from Max’s dad, Sam – a firefighter. He informed us about the material of his uniform and how heavy it is, as well as discussing the functions of each piece of safety equipment. The children were happy to share their understanding of fire safety learned at Safety School early this year – “we run to the letterbox” says Mason, in case of a fire, and were enthusiastic to ask in depth questions of Sam pertaining to his job and his attire. It was then that Sam asked the kids if they would like to try on his uniform…check out the new firefighters of NWNPS.
