Just for a bit of fun, we wrote our ‘ai’ ‘ay’ words on dinosaur tails. The Preps are loving their dinosaur unit.

 

Now that we have had our Cool Calm Kids incursion that explained to us the ‘Three Step Rule’, today Prep B went a step further to tell the person what it is that we want them to stop.

So now…..

1. Please stop… I don’t like it (e.g. Please stop nudging me, I don’t like it)

If the person continues, 

2. Please stop nudging me, I will tell a teacher. 

If the person continues the behaviour, 

3. Please stop nudging me, I am telling a teacher NOW!

 

Here are the children practising this. We had singers, hammers and people waving around their hands… All in the name of “please stop…. I don’t like it.”

As part of our Maths/Inquiry today, we decided to do a bit of informal measuring…We wanted to investigate:

– how long all of our shoes together would be,

– how many shoes long is a T-Rex foot,

– and how many shoes could we fit inside a T-rex?
